Our story of survival and everlasting love
We found our furever home when we were given to our hooman mom as her birthday present.
I’m Gilbert, the Tabby, and my sisterfur tortie is Bella.
Our mom was killed by a wild dog along with my other brothers and sisters.
A nice lady rescued us and gave us away in front of a supermarket.
We needed and missed mom but our hooman mom did a good job bottle feeding us till we got healthy and strong.
One extremely hot summer night mom went out for something she calls iced coffee.
There, in the parking lot she found Fluffy.
She was skin and bones.
She had been left abandoned with no way to fend for herself since she had been declawed.
She was at the brink of death with her little bones protruding from her skin.
We took her in and nursed her back to health.
Fluffy’s resilience and will to live made mom want to do something for neglected and abused animals.
She joined something called the ASPCA and ran her first half marathon in Los Angeles, CA to raise awareness to a cause very dear to us.
Here she is dressed as a cat as she crossed the finish line.
She’s so silly!
Mom found Fluffy and great furever home where she saved the life of a lady who’s husband was dying of cancer.
Fluffy made his last days so happy.
Mom knew she had a purpose in life, as we all do.
When he passed away, Fluffy’s new mom said she would have never made it without her.
Fluffy gave the lady a will and reason to live.
Something to look forward to every day.
Not shortly after Fluffy found her new home Lucy came into our lives.
Mom was asleep when she received a call from our neighbor who had been walking their dog telling her that he had seen a van pull up to our street, open the door, kiss the kitten, said “I love you”, drop her off in the middle of the street and drove off.
We were outraged.
Mom got Lucy who was in shock.
We felt bad for her.
She cried all night looking out the window toward the spot where she had been abandoned.
With lots of love and encouragement Lucy has settle herself in our furever home very nicely.
I’m still the boss around here and I love my sisterfurs.
We hope that our story of survival inspire other to rescue and care for their pets.
We remember our trials and tribulations.
We have strong spirits.
We trust that hoomans could look into our eyes and see our soul, our kindness and our everlasting love for them!
