I adopted\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Butch and his sister Julia as two month\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">old kittens from a rescuer, and Butch\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">was the most loving, affectionate cat I\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">had owned. Eight years ago at age 20,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">my beloved Butch developed renal\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">disease. My father and I gave him sub Q\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">fluids twice a day for six months,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">desperately trying to extend his time\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">with us. Losing him was so painful I\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">didn&#8217;t think I could deal with having a\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">cat again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Years passed and I missed the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">companionship and intimacy of having\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">cats, but still feared the pain of loss. My\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">boyfriend would periodically try to\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">convince me it was time. I resisted. He\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">sent me a picture of a cat available for\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">adoption, and suddenly, I wanted a cat.<\/span><br \/>\nThat cat got adopted, but I was lucky\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">enough to connect with a rescuer who\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">had Otis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/petmonarchy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/imagejpeg_0_2.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-1285\" alt=\"Otis cutie\" src=\"https:\/\/petmonarchy.com\/pmworld\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/imagejpeg_0_2.jpeg\" width=\"194\" height=\"258\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I saw his picture, I had never\u00a0had a ginger cat, and fell in love. That was three years ago February. I love\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">Otis more than I can put into words.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">I encourage anyone in a similar\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">situation to adopt. There is more room<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">in your heart than you know. There are<\/span><br \/>\nno replacements for beloved lost pets.\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">There is room for more love.
